Four Voices III: Only Light

III

Only light-

fails in voices.
Midnight static
Plagues the space
between
words.

Her chokes cry
dies amid
my struggles end
in claims
of end.

On floor lies gifts.
Being
And nothingness,
Condemned.
Her’s.

Sartre’s stare weighs
of lead
death’s silent seal.
Denial
mourned.

“I don’t want
to never
see you again
my
David,”

she says in seeming
sobs,
not wanting
to not
know.

Amora’s light’s
Rage
Speaks
In failing
Speech.

I clutch
My hands
Not wanting
To
Release.

Tears
reflect
An angel
Voice’s
Light.

Only
Light
Only.

  1. Simply Beautiful, and very well expressed!

  2. What a heart-felt and beautiful dedication and poem to your equally beautiful wife… thank you for sharing, David. 🙂
